Corrections staff strive for excellence in all that we do. We are accountable and disciplined in our planning, courageous in our decision-making, and passionate in our belief that we can change lives. Today the Department of Corrections is a high performing organisation, a position we have worked diligently to achieve.

You too can make a real difference in our Community Partnerships Team, Service Development. The Senior Advisor supports the Manager Community Partnerships and the wider team in the development and provision of high quality advice and the delivery of a portfolio of reintegration interventions, initiatives, contracts and services.

This pivotal role in the team is responsible for:

  • Implementing and delivering business solutions that meet the Department's needs.
  • Implementing agreed new services and activities.
  • Liaison with contracted service providers and relationship management.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement in all aspects of the work.
  • Implementing changes arising from the review and evaluation of the quality of service delivery and the achieved outcomes.
  • Providing day to day operational advice and support for relevant Department managers and staff.

As you will be providing support to the team in regard to our service provider contracts, you will present with a strong background in contract and relationship management at a senior level, coupled with an understanding and working knowledge of the justice or social sectors.

We wish to appoint an agile and enthusiastic person who is capable of working both collaboratively and independently.  You will present with well- developed writing skills, the ability to form positive working relationships and a can do attitude! In return you will enjoy an attractive salary, development opportunities and the benefit of working in a hardworking, dynamic team where a healthy work/life balance is supported.

A tertiary qualification is desireable and applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines with an emphasis on transferrable skills will be considered.

Corrections embrace diversity and are committed to an inclusive workplace.  We recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of individuals and celebrate the collective talent of all employees
