Director - Facilities Management at University of Canterbury, Canterbury

Located in Ōtautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand

  • Lead and drive the strategic vision for Facilities Management
  • Full-time at 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
  • Continuing (i.e. permanent) position

What You Will Do

You will be one of the senior players in the culture change of the University. As part of that change, we have exciting plans for the University campus. This includes some major building and sustainability programmes. You will be a change agent and strategic leader responsible for the development of the Facilities Management function. You will lead the planning, development and maintenance of the physical resources and campus facility services vital to support the exciting things happening to enable the University's learning, teaching, research vision.

Who You Will Work With

The Facilities Management Department provides support to the University's teaching research and support functions in four key areas:

  • Asset planning, programming and delivery
  • Space management
  • Maintenance planning, programming and delivery
  • Support Services Delivery
  • Security Services Delivery
