Join a dynamic and growing academic community as a Pūkenga Matua/Senior Lecturer in Kaupapa Māori Psychology. You will contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and postgraduate supervision, supporting the continued development of this distinctive and impactful field.

This role plays a key part in delivering and evolving the University's Kaupapa Māori Psychology major, while building a strong programme of research with meaningful outcomes for Māori communities.

We are currently recruiting across multiple academic levels within Kaupapa Māori Psychology. While this advert is for a Pūkenga Matua/Senior Lecturer, we also welcome interest in Pūkenga/Lecturer and Ahorangi/Professor opportunities.

Salary will be in the range of $113,428 to $148,799 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Ko wai koe? - Who are you?

You will hold a PhD in Psychology and demonstrate an established research and teaching profile. You will bring:

• A strong record of research and publication
• Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• Capability in supervising Honours, Masters, and PhD students
• Knowledge of Kaupapa Māori approaches and Te Tiriti contexts
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with iwi and communities
