Join the School of Engineering (Te Kura Mata-Ao) and contribute to excellence in teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and industry engagement from our Tauranga campus.

As a Lecturer Engineering, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality, research-informed teaching, supporting student success, supervising postgraduate students, and contributing to a vibrant research culture. You'll work alongside colleagues across the School and wider University to develop programmes, advance scholarship, build industry partnerships, and contribute to the strategic goals of the School, Division, and University.

While the role sits within the School's engineering programmes, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in construction management and project delivery who can help strengthen teaching, research, and industry engagement in this area.

Salary will be in the range of $113,428 to $132,042 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Tauranga Campus.

• A PhD in a relevant discipline and a commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
• Experience teaching and supporting student success at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• A developing or established research profile, including scholarly publications and research activity.
• Expertise in one or more areas of construction management and project delivery, such as project controls, planning and scheduling, procurement, contract administration, digital construction, BIM, sustainable construction, or construction innovation.
• The ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, industry partners, and external stakeholders.

The Division of STEM undertakes teaching and research in a range of core disciplines grouped under four academic schools. The Division also has several research units, and commercial/equipment units, which embody staff and research activities.

The School of Engineering (Te Kura Mata-Ao) offers BE(Hons) degree programmes in Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials and Process Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and a Graduate Diploma in Engineering Management. Research and development strengths are in energy, water, robotics, sensing, biomedical engineering, materials, construction, infrastructure and structural engineering.
