Job Description

Victoria University is looking for two Communications Advisers to join its busy Communications team.

These roles undertake a range of communications work. This includes producing written and visual content, such as stories, media releases and videos, for a range of channels and purposes, including social media. These roles share responsibility for internal and corporate communications for the University and each has particular responsibility for supporting and communicating the work of one or more of Victoria's eight academic faculties. In this role, you will need to form effective working relationships across the University and with stakeholders and media.

You will be an excellent writer with creative flair and the ability to generate compelling content that tells Victoria's story. You will also have good judgement and the ability to work as part of a team. You will be looking for an opportunity to progress your career in an interesting, fast-paced and challenging working environment as part of a highly effective and supportive team.

Our team has a strong focus on learning, new experiences and professional development.

This role is part of the University's wider Communications and Marketing Group. The Group leads the University's internal and external marketing, communications, websites, alumni relations, publishing and events initiatives. The group communicates with more than 2,000 staff, 22,000 students, more than 100,000 alumni and a diverse range of external stakeholders.

Ideally you will have one to three years' experience in another communications role and a tertiary qualification. You must be eligible to work in NZ to apply for these roles.

For further information about these roles, please email Communications Manager Sarah Boyd on or call 04 463 6105 or 027 563 6105.

Applications close on Friday, 20 October 2017.
