Job Description

The School of Accounting and Commercial Law within the Victoria Business School at Victoria University of Wellington is seeking to appoint an experienced Administrator (4 years fixed-term, 20 to 25 hours per week).

The role of the Administrator is to provide quality operational and administration services to the Chair in Public Finance.

The successful applicant will need to have considerable administrative experience (3+ years of experience is desirable). Excellent customer service skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people, as well as attention to detail and accuracy are essential attributes for the position. In addition, the successful candidate will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills.

The Chair in Public Finance is a ‘partnership chair' established by the University and co-sponsored with four New Zealand government departments (Inland Revenue, Ministry of Education, Productivity Commission and The Treasury). It aims to build up expertise in the area of public finance and pubic economics, and to engage with external stakeholders to promote public finance research, debate and policy analysis.
