We are seeking Design Tutors or Honours Graduates in the area of (Digital Media, Visual Communication Design or Creative Technologies) to join our Whitireia and WelTec China teaching teams.

About the role - Te kaupapa

The position involves travelling with another Design Tutor to deliver curriculum to our partner institutions in China. You would be teaching undergraduate Visual Communication Design students with the first, second and third years of their degree. Subject areas include, animation, web design, publication, illustration etc. Seeking Kaiako with flexibility to undertake four-week teaching stints, each constituting 100 hours, once or two times a year (March-June, and Sept-Dec).

Experience and qualifications

We are seeking someone with the following skills:

• Competency in Adobe software teaching (Id, Ai, Ae, Ps)
• Conceptual skills to deliver pre-prepared curriculum for the China context
• Honours or Master degree qualification in subject area
• Some travel experience would be preferable, but not mandatory
• A sense of humour to expect the unexpected
