We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Services Librarian to join our library team at Whitireia and WelTec. Our Library team thrive on offering a future focused, high quality library service. We are seeking a new team member who is enthusiastic, skilled, and wanting to contribute to the ongoing success of our learners.

The Digital Services Librarian role is a vital part of the team who manages the libraries digital information resources, improves access to electronic resources, and provides technical support to ensure accessibility to the libraries information resources which support student outcomes.

You will have strong IT and relationship building skills, can work in a collaborative manner and can demonstrate excellent communication skills. Also, highly desirable is an ability to use your initiative and work in a proactive way.

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to:

• manage the provision of electronic information services that enable students and staff to access resources and materials that are required to support successful study outcomes
• manage the policies, procedures and processes that underpin the library management system in collaboration with other library team members and SMART libraries
• manage the development, maintenance and administration of all electronic resources and services, including the aggregated databases, e-journals, e-books, and multimedia platforms
• liaise with all vendors who provide electronic resources and services to ensure service delivery agreements are met, and that the products are performing at an optimum level
• you will have a professional library qualification or equivalent
• experience having worked in a similar role or with similar systems in either a public or academic library setting would be an advantage.
