Drainage Investigations Technical Advisor at Wellington Water, Wellington - Wairarapa

The Technical Advisor - Drainage Investigations is a front-line customer interface position undertaking drainage investigations and providing storm water and wastewater drainage advice to customers. The overall outcome of the role is to reduce private drainage leaks and cross contamination of waters.
You will undertake investigations of more complex drainage and water issues and project manage the resolution of those issues. You will plan and determine appropriate resources, subcontractor or service personnel support and manage customer communications. Determine and apply the best approach to drainage investigations including CCTV, drain smoke testing, dye testing, pipe location and pressure testing. Then carry out inspection, fault analysis and reporting.
You will actively contribute to a team and organisational culture that is based on collaboration, innovation, learning and high performance. While building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will have the relevant technical/trade qualification and work experience, as well as the relevant health and safety certificates relating to traffic management. You bring a strong work ethic and have solid communication skills to effectively collaborate with your team. Passion for the water industry. As well as a degree of physical fitness to carry out field inspections and enter water/drainage networks is required.
