- Full-time, permanent position based in Wellington
We're looking for a Modeller to join our Modelling team developing, maintaining and operating three waters hydraulic models [water, stormwater, wastewater] and contributing to the development of operations and capex proposals. Your skills will be utilised across the company, particularly by the Network Development and Delivery, Network Strategy and Planning and Customer Operations groups.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (for example, engineering or science)
- experience in hydraulic modelling in water and/or stormwater and/or wastewater, using InfoWorks ICM
- the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and self-reliance, providing technical guidance and support to our key stakeholders
- the ability to use models to establish network performance, identify operational issues, assist with strategic network planning and development control
- a people-come-first mind-set.
Being a Modeller is more than being technically capable. You'll be a demonstrated team player with great communication skills (both verbal and written), self-motivated and keen to learn in a growing industry. Your experience might be in the private sector or public sector, but wherever you come from you will thrive in the role if you have a desire to deliver a difference to the councils and community we work for.
