Senior Engineer Land Development at Wellington Water, Wellington - Wairarapa

As a Land Development Engineer, you will provide three waters (water, waste-water, and storm water) advice and information relating to consenting the development of land. You will be familiar with council policy, legislation and the regional engineering standards and specifications for three waters infrastructure. You are expected to work on range of development issues, review engineering proposals and designs, carry out assessments and provide timely support and technical guidance to the team.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- a relevant qualification or experience, preferably in three waters or land development
- knowledge of the Resource Management Act, Local Government Act and Civil Engineering Practice
- analytical skills and be able to carry out informed assessments and make meaningful decisions
- written and verbal communication skills and be able to put ideas across in a logical and coherent fashion
- customer relationship and stakeholder management skills combined with a strong customer service ethos.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), MIPENZ (preferred), be solutions-focused, show good judgement and have a working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and district planning procedures.
