Adviser Growth Planning - Intermediate or Senior at Wellington Water, Wellington - Wairarapa

We are in the process of building a new team, whose focus is on long-term strategic planning for our cities. You may be at any stage of your career, looking to be involved in a diverse range of planning projects.
As a Growth Adviser, you will provide three waters (water, waste-water, and storm water) advice and information to meet growth demands in an integrated, affordable, innovative, sustainable way. You will be familiar with council policy, legislation, national standards and other regulations for urban development and infrastructure delivery. You will be expected to work on a range of issues to respond to growth and housing demands in the planning, consenting and construction sector.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- have a relevant qualification in planning, engineering or similar field and a strategic mindset for undertaking integrated infrastructure and land use planning
- have knowledge of regulatory frameworks like the Local Government Act, Resource Management Act and Building Act
- be familiar with how cities plan and invest in three water networks and how this relates to urban development and housing policies
- be able to write reports and assessments and be able to put ideas across in a logical and coherent fashion
- be good with people and able to explain situations or concepts
- foster stakeholder relationships and have a strong customer service ethos.
You will be great at turning complex matters into focus areas, solutions-oriented and show good judgement. You will be familiar or have worked in local government and have knowledge of how infrastructure services support our cities.
