Drinking Water Compliance Auditor at Wellington Water, Wellington - Wairarapa

The purpose of the position of the Drinking Water Compliance Auditor is to inspect, audit, monitor and report on compliance in relation to the drinking water supply. This role is part of Regulatory Services group that provides compliance, legal, risk and assurance leadership to safeguard the company and help it meet its regulatory and legal obligations. For the compliance team leads regulatory compliance across the three waters for Wellington Water, providing prompt, pragmatic, risk-based advice to the Board and senior leadership.
To be successful in this role you will bring the following:
- A Bachelor's degree in environmental, natural sciences, environmental planning or other relevant degree
- Two years' in an auditing or compliance experience
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of New Zealand drinking water regulations
- Knowledge of quality management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 55001, ISO 17025
- Good communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including colleagues, council clients, suppliers and contractors
- Ability to see the big picture and think both long term and broadly
