Senior Modeller at Wellington Water, Wellington - Wairarapa

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.

The remuneration range for this role is $109,980 to $155,266 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced senior modeller to provide technical direction and expertise across the organisation in relation to the development of strategic and operational wastewater models. This assists in supporting the region's growth agenda with water infrastructure, planning and network performance as well as developing strategies and policies for urban development and Civil Engineering Practice.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as engineering or science)
  • At least 10 years' experience in hydraulic and/or hydrology modelling in wastewater using InfoWorks ICM
  • Knowledge and experience in the design of drainage and water infrastructure as well as experience in project, contract and relationship management
  • Knowledge of the latest hydraulic and/or hydrology modelling techniques and methodologies
  • Experience in assessing land development proposals and awareness of Resource Management Act and Building Act processes
  • Experience with GIS preferred
  • A people-come-first mind-set

Being a senior modeller is more than being technically capable. You'll be a demonstrated team player with great communication skills (both verbal and written), self-motivated and keen to learn in a growing industry.
