Project Engineer - Three Waters at Wellington Water, Wellington - Wairarapa

This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours a week.

The remuneration range for this role is 78,879 to 111,383 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

The purpose of this role is to support the Customer Operations Group with project management, incident and emergency response management, asset maintenance planning, providing technical support to service delivery frontline staff, planning and undertaking network investigations to resolve complex customer service and network operational issues. The role encompasses client, customer and contractor management associated with drainage and water network operations and upgrade projects. You will work at multiple locations at managers discretion.

About you

Your experience with three waters engineering. You have a working knowledge of statutory legislation including Local Government Act, Resource Management Act, Health and Safety Legislation. You possess excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Your ability to manage the programme budget, monitoring expenditure. You collaborate well showing you will understand what it takes to bring people together to achieve high level results. Communicating and building strong relationships with stakeholders developing have a high level of trust.

You thrive in a busy and fast paced environment. You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering and are a self-starter who is focused on providing solutions and outputs that are in line with best practice.

The Customer Operations group leads the operations and maintenance of the network on behalf of client councils and is the first point of contact in responding to client and customer requests. The group's outcomes are delivered through an innovative alliance, comprising people and resources from Wellington Water and Fulton Hogan working together to achieve high-performance that improves customer experience and shows good value for money through safe and effective approached and technology solutions.
