Temporary Traffic Management Programme Lead at Tiaki Wai, Wellington - Wairarapa

• Lead internal change to shape Tiaki Wai's future Temporary Traffic Management model, policy and processeses
• Partner with NZTA, councils and industry to embed best practice
• Petone office based position

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week

The remuneration range for this role $120,817.48 to $170,565.86 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

As our Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Programme Lead, you will establish and embed TTM as an integrated, effective and compliant function across Tiaki Wai. You will review current practices, assess them against the new national TTM framework, and define the future-state operating model and assurance functions. You will then lead implementation, working across the organisation and with Councils, NZTA, contractors and industry specialists.

• Assess current TTM practices, compliance, risks and opportunities across Tiaki Wai
• Define the future-state TTM operating model, policy, governance, systems and processes
• Develop and deliver an implementation roadmap, including milestones, dependencies, resources and risks
• Establish training, KPI, assurance and technology frameworks to support sustainable TTM delivery
• Lead stakeholder engagement with internal teams, NZTA, councils, contractors and industry specialists

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

• Proven programme or project leadership experience delivering organisational change
• Experience developing policy, systems, operating models and operational processes in safety critical high hazard industries
• Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and influencing skills, with the ability to work strategically and operationally
• Knowledge of New Zealand TTM regulatory requirements, Corridor Access Requests (CARs), and experience working with NZTA or local government transport

Relevant qualification or equivalent industry experience leading activities with traffic management teams and requirements, and / or experience developing and reviewing Traffic Management Plans and ensuring regulatory and organisational compliance is strongly advantageous.
