Location: Palmerston North or Whanganui or New Plymouth or Hawera

The Department of Corrections is a core part of New Zealand's Justice Sector. We have an exciting opportunity for clinical psychologists to join our team. Covering both the Manawatu/Wairarapa and Taranaki/Whanganui districts, there is the option of being based in Palmerston North, Whanganui, New Plymouth or Hawera.

Successful candidates will be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board under the clinical scope, or the general scope with a minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology (Clinical or Forensic).

As a psychologist with the Department of Corrections you will be providing clinical risk assessments and treatment for prisoners and offenders in the community. You may also have the opportunity to be involved in research work in the context of the scientist/practitioner model.

Salary: NZD $65,303 to $110,448 (dependent upon professional competency assessment).
