Manager Operational Performance

Location: Christchurch
Vacancy Number: CSSR8921

 

This role is responsible for providing senior advisory and management support to the Regional Commissioner and their team, on any matter relating to the effective operation of the region and its service delivery.

 

This is a unique chance to work across all of Corrections Services, therefor your stakeholder management and ability to build relationships will be invaluable. The position manages a small team, responsibility for advice, guidance and support in relation to operational performance within the region. The manager completes all reporting requirements on behalf of the Regional Director Practise Delivery as required.

 

Key accountabilities will encompass:

  • Providing advice and guidance to the leadership team
  • Developing regional strategies and policies as well
  • Fact finding and investigative work as directed by the Regional Commissioner.

 

You will bring with you experience in risk management frameworks and methodologies, knowledge and ability in audit review and investigation techniques as well as significant expertise with implementing and managing sound quality, best practice or business improvement processes. The Manager of Operational Performance is also responsible for Regional implementation and management to national quality assurance, risk management and business improvement frameworks.

 

The successful applicant will have the proven ability to work collaboratively across the business and enjoy a diverse range of tasks. You will be able to adapt, show strong written ability and demonstrate your sound operational knowledge.

 

This role will be based in Canterbury. The role requires regular travel throughout the region; therefore a full New Zealand drivers licence is essential.
