We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Palmerston North, with the option of being based in either Palmerston North, Whanganui, Hawera or New Plymouth.

  • A minimum of a Masters degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology and the ability to register with the NZ Psychologist board in the clinical/general scope of practice)

As a psychologist with the Department of Corrections you will have the opportunity to explore the country while also providing clinical risk assessments and treatment for prisoners and offenders in the community. You may also have the opportunity to be involved in research work in the context of the scientist/practitioner model.

Salary: NZD $71,707 to $110,448 (dependant upon professional competency assessment)
