KiwiBuild is about restoring the dream of home ownership to families throughout NZ, by providing eligible first home buyers with exclusive access to a range of fixed price modest starter homes. KiwiBuild does this by supporting developers to build more quality, affordable houses, and connecting them with eligible KiwiBuild buyers through a ballot process.

About the role 

This is a fixed-term opportunity until June 2020. Reporting to the KiwiBuild Manager Buy Off the Plans, you will be involved in delivering the Buy off the Plans components of the work programme. This team is responsible for identifying land opportunities, procurement of affordable housing outcomes, undertaking due diligence and contracting.

You will utilise your strong commercial acumen and well-developed relationship management skills to identify opportunities, engage in property and commercial agreements around development opportunities, looking for innovative ways to help deliver tangible results. There will be a strong stakeholder engagement element balancing the needs of government and private sector recognising the opportunities and constraints of options available.


What you will bring

  • Extensive development and property experience in the residential sector
  • In-depth experience preparing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills and experience within the private and/or public sectors
  • Agile in your approach, strong teamwork focus and
  • A passion for creating tangible outcomes in the housing sector for New Zealand
