Project Officer

Have you got a positive, energetic, flexible customer-focussed approach and a strong results orientation? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and an interest in supporting learners gain recognition for their educational achievements?

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is seeking a Project Officer to join our Wellington-based Qualifications Services business unit. We enable Mātauranga Māori and generic skills and knowledge to be recognised and credentialed, and maintain University Entrance.

You will be involved in projects supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of unit standards and nationally recognised qualifications, and University Entrance.

Are you able to?

  • provide project co-ordination and administration support with attention to detail
  • provide web design and editing skills
  • develop and review business processes and systems
  • maintain outstanding client relationships through your excellent oral and written communication skills

An ability to work within te ao Māori is an advantage.

To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter who is reliable, flexible, and recognises when to take action to reduce demands on others.  You will be experienced in using the Microsoft suite of applications , and project management systems.  You will be organised, methodical, good at prioritising your work, and have strong people skills.  

This is a two-year fixed-term position.
