About the role
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is seeking a Qualifications Development Facilitator to join the Wellington-based Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) within their newly established unit, Ngā Poutoko Aromatawai Māori.
The MQS team is responsible for the development, maintenance, review and support of New Zealand qualifications and unit standards which are predicated on mātauranga Māori. It is also involved in the maintenance of University Entrance and the provision of policy and specialist advice on standards and qualifications.
Skills and experience
The MQS Qualifications Development Facilitator role requires someone with a sound knowledge of te reo me ngā tikanga Māori, experience in the education and training sector, especially in facilitating change and delivering to customer expectations in a complex work environment, assessment, qualifications, and the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.
The role requires the ability to quickly establish, build and maintain strong effective and collaborative working relationships, and establish credibility with specialist external advisors and a variety of stakeholders including government agencies, industry, education providers, whānau, hapū, iwi, and other customers.
