We are looking for a dynamic, visionary and experienced Chief People Officer to lead the People and Capability functions and team at NZQA.

About the role
The Chief People Officer (CPO) is a key leadership role at NZQA that is responsible for working in partnership with the business on all aspects of HR service delivery including strategic organisational development, staff development and people leadership.
The CPO is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of organisational development and HR strategies, policies, systems and practices; and people capability initiatives to support NZQA's strategic direction.
The CPO and the People and Capability team is responsible for providing specialist guidance and advice for NZQA's core staff (inclusive of people managers & leaders) and specialist workforce (comprising of casual, fixed term and contract-for-service personnel) who are engaged at different points throughout the year to support the NCEA assessment cycle and quality assurance in secondary and tertiary education.
We are looking for someone who has:
- demonstrated experience in leading an engaged and high performing people and capability team.
- expertise in HR service delivery, strategic human resources management, organisational leadership and management of organisational change programmes.
- highly developed strategic relationship skills and understands the importance of staff, leaders, external stakeholders and customers.
- extensive experience and record of achievement operating effectively in a HR environment and change leadership contexts.
