The Director of Regional Relationships reports to the Chief Executive. Their role is to build, enhance and maintain the Transport Agency's presence, performance and reputation in the Lower North Island. This includes engaging with and taking the lead in building senior local government, iwi and other significant and influential community, private and public sector stakeholder relationships.

The purpose of this Executive Assistant role is to provide professional and accurate executive level support to the Director by ensuring the smooth running of their office in a timely and confidential manner.

This is a role with plenty of opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders across the transport industry - you'll use your professional but friendly approach to engage with people and manage key relationships. Excellent initiative and a proactive approach is a must! Enjoy using your strong prioritisation and decision making skills and demonstrating your adaptability in a busy environment.

To be successful in this role you will bring

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience providing high level support to a GM or Director
  • Exceptional organisational, time and diary management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • The ability to liaise and communicate with a range of external and key stakeholders, many at an executive level
  • Experience with official correspondence and able to maintain deadlines and work to a high level of accuracy in relation to these
  • The ability to make good judgements and quick decisions and to use your initiative to think proactively to solve problems
  • Social intelligence and the ability to connect at all organisational levels and across different professional fields
