The role

The purpose of the Executive Advisor role is to provide quality, trusted advice and support to the General Manager, People Group.

You will be instrumental in contributing to the development, planning and delivery of the people group's work programme and will work alongside a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be involved in some really interesting and varied work streams. The key to your success will be in your ability to juggle deadlines, navigate complex situations and create quality documentation. You will have a flair for analysis and presentation of complex issues.  

What you will bring

We are looking for a trusted advisor who has strong communication and collaboration skills, an ability to connect, manage and influence stakeholders. You will be personable, strategic and bring your big picture thinking.

  • Strong analytical thinking skills ideally with experience in central or local government
  • Proven influencing and collaboration skills internally and externally across other organisations
  • Proven ability in managing and overseeing work plan delivery and reporting on achievements
  • Experience  with official correspondence, preparation of Senior Leadership Team and Board papers, and committee responses or similar
  • Ability to identify key group strategic issues and link appropriate actions, with consideration to the wider implications
