As part of the Corporate Services Group, the Property Services acquisition team are responsible for managing the day to day property purchases for a variety of projects across the country as well as providing property related input to the route evaluation and selection process.

The role

An exciting opportunity has become available for you to relocate to Hamilton to become our Senior Property Acquisitions Manager.

Hamilton is the gateway to the central North Island and is our largest inland city. With a smart and innovative population, Hamilton is rich in history and locals are spoilt for choice for places to relax, do business, dine and there is a diverse mix of leisure and activity choices.

Once you have made the move to this magnificent city, as our Senior Property Acquisitions Manager you will lead the strategic and operational management of the Transport Agency's property acquisition programmes across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty areas for future transport system solutions.  The programmes comprise a range of existing & upcoming projects, which feature a variety of interesting property related challenges that will need to be solved

You will need to have a solid property background, very strong programme and risk management skills, good relationship management skills, and experience delivering property requirements for infrastructure projects within a tight timeframe.

What you will bring

To be successful here and in this role, you will bring:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a senior property role
  • Strong programme and risk management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a significant delivery programme
  • A good understanding of the Public Works Act 1981
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in leading, influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders
