The Legal Team is here to enable the Agency to meet its strategic objectives by providing solution focused legal advice and to help the Agency comply with the law and mitigate its legal risks.

The role

The purpose of the Legal Operations Manager role is to lead the development of a Legal Services business plan and work programme with the Group General Counsel

As our Legal Operations Manager, you will have experience working in a professional services environment. This experience will enable you to help set strategic direction for the team in terms of how we operate.  

This is a time of change at the Agency, and there is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping the legal team. Your experience in leading through change will be key to your success.

As a member of the legal leadership team you will drive and monitor the legal team's business operations, including matter management and practice management. You'll need to be an exceptional communicator who can build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.

What you will bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in developing business plans and the design and development of associated work programmes.
  • Proven experience working with teams in a demanding environment
  • Experience in the management of strategic relationships with external providers.
  • Demonstrated experience helping lead a team through change.
  • An ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and to implement operational change.
  • Good reporting and analytical skills.
  • A strong customer-focus; excellent communication; and relationship building skills.
