The Customer Experience and Behaviour team is about using data and information, research and analytics and customer-centric design and support to ensure the customer drives everything we do. They collect data and information to design great customer experiences, use research and analytics to help understand our customers and their needs and they connect with the wider Transport Agency to improve the journeys of our customers through education and behaviour change.

The role

The insight we deliver will positively influence the delivery and achievement of the Transport Agency's strategic objectives, in turn creating great outcomes for New Zealanders - our aspiration is to build one of the best insight teams in NZ. We are building a team of people with diverse skills who can work together to create engaging and game-changing customer insight. What you will bring

We are looking for the following skills in our team:

  • Experience in using a variety of both quantitative and qualitative research methods to create robust and meaningful customer insight
  • The ability to lead strategically difficult customer insight projects
  • The ability to analyse information and form a clear conceptual understanding of its meaning and to identify the implications of the findings.
  • Storytelling skills, with the ability to distil complex information to express thoughts and ideas simply, with a focus on providing actionable insights
  • The ability to find creative and innovative approaches, demonstrating curiosity and challenge of existing thinking
  • A high level of comfort with ambiguity and iterative approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relating well to all kinds of people, inside and outside the organisation.
  • The ability to work collaboratively, building constructive and effective relationships and influencing policy and strategic direction using customer insights.

 

This role can be based in either our Auckland or Wellington office.
