The Corporate Services group provides the essential expert support services that enable the Agency to run efficiently and achieve organisational excellence.  Part of the Corporate Services group remit is to lead Cyber Security Practice and ensure that the Agency meets its ongoing security and compliance obligations.

The role

We are looking for a Security Operations Manager to lead activities associated with cyber security by managing our Security Operations Centre which is tasked with ensuring the existing operational environment is monitored and prepared to react to threats to the Agency. This role will drive the development and implementation of the Security Operations Centre strategy and work to continuously improve the visibility we have of threats to our systems and the information we have stored on them.

As our Security Operations Manager, you will be key in providing leadership, managing, tracking and reporting on security initiatives designed to enhance our Cyber Security maturity. 

What you will bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Security Operations Manager or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • An understanding of high-level security concepts and how to apply these in an organisation
  • Experience with controls for cloud technology models and information security
  • Knowledge and experience in proactive risk management as well as the use of multiple modern project and technology delivery methodologies and frameworks
  • The ability to present complex information in a clear and uncluttered form to non-technical people
  • Demonstrable experience delivering key organisational initiatives in a technology environment
  • Experience of automated data acquisition and presentation
