About the Role
The Compliance and Health Protection Team Lead role is responsible for team management, delivery, performance, and development. It involves operational leadership, resource utilisation, and coordinating programme planning, delivery, evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and reporting across various programme areas. Amongst its responsibilities, this role will provide leadership for the compliance programme.
The people and performance responsibilities of this role work in collaboration with the technical and professional responsibilities of other regional and local roles, such as Senior Advisors/Officers, Regional Development and Delivery Leads, and relevant professional leadership roles.
The Team Lead role will also deliver operational work and have responsibility for work programme(s) relevant to their professional skill set (depending on the size of the team they are responsible for).

About you
You are an experienced public health professional with strong leadership capability and a passion for improving community wellbeing. You bring 3–5 years' experience in public health service delivery, along with the ability to apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice to support equitable, culturally responsive outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Public Health or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven team leadership and management experience
- Clean NZ Driver Licence and willingness to travel across the region
- Postgraduate qualification (completed or in progress) desirable
- Eligibility to work in an operational team environment preferred
