We invite applications from experienced Receptionist/Administration Support to join our Whangarei-based Mental Health and Addictions Service. The role provides reception and administration support duties which are delivered in a professional and timely manner ensuring a client focused and culturally competent service to whaiora and their family/whānau.
About the Role
The role is based within our Tumanako Inpatient Unit in Whangarei where experience of working in a clinical setting and, within Mental Health and/or Addictions, is advantageous. Tumanako is a 29 bed, purpose built unit, at Whangarei Hospital that cares for adults over the age of 18 who live in the Northland area. He Manu Pae is a 6 bed sub-acute unit based in a community setting. At both units we provide a full range of mental health and alcohol and drug services including assessment, group therapy, family/whānau and individual interventions
The role of the Receptionist/Administration Support is varied and diverse. You will welcome whanau to the unit so must have warm, welcoming and engaging interpersonal skills and be flexible while working to support people who receive our services.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a close knit team to create a supportive and recovery focussed environment for whaiora and whānau. We are also committed to quality improvement, staff wellbeing and working collaboratively across services and are committed to on-going professional and cultural development.
This role works on a roster of 10 hour shifts from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm (averaging 80 hours per fortnight) and you will be required to work alternate weekends.
It is vital that the successful applicant can form effective working relationships with a wide range of people within the health sector and with whaiora and whānau. The person will be able to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and be flexible in how they work because no two days will be the same!
The successful candidate will possess an administration background with proven skills and experience including medical typing. A recognised qualification is desirable but not essential.
