This is an exciting time to join the Strategic Projects team as we work on transforming the physical hospital environment and developing the maturity of our investment management.

The Role:
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects for Te Whatu Ora. They will need to develop effective relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that consultants and contractors are working effectively and efficiently to deliver infrastructure projects on time, to budget and to scope as set out in the project brief.
This role will oversee a group of capital projects and will follow and work within Ministry and Te Whatu Ora policy, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Strong track record of using project management methodologies and organisational processes in achieving efficient outcomes with strong skills in managing risks and implementing lessons learnt.
- Proven skills and experience in leading and managing a team of professionals and critically important stakeholders at a project level.
Desirable:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/ or formal project management qualification.

- Ability to manoeuvre through complex project situations effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and gain their trust and respect.
- Ability to problem-solve; solution oriented.
