About the role

 

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our radiology department in Kaitaia Hospital.

 

The Radiology Department Assistant role is to support the Imaging technologists, and Sonographers with the care of patients undergoing radiological examinations including X-Ray, Ultrasound and CT examinations.  It is a varied role with a focus on high quality patient care, team work, and clerical duties.

 

There is a need for the successful candidate to be self-motivated and be able to multi-task, have excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing and professional personality. Previous experience within a healthcare environment is desirable.

 

Full orientation and support will be provided for the successful applicants.

This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week.

 

The work patterns are usually working Monday to Friday.  Successful applicants may be required to be work shifts in the future to meet service demands.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Secondary school education to year 12
  • General computer skills
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
