Right now, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Podiatrist to join our team to provide podiatry services throughout Northland.
This position will contribute to the expansion of our High Risk Foot service across the four Northland DHB hospital sites and other community clinic settings. Our team aims to deliver excellence as part of a team of highly skilled, highly motivated and supportive outpatient clinicians. Initially the focus of this position is assessing and managing patient with diabetes and foot complications. There is opportunity to expand this scope, developing and utilising skills in delivery of diagnosis, treatment, prevention, education and management for people with active or high risk foot complications due to diabetes or other high risk foot pathologies.
The successful applicant will be flexible, enthusiastic and organised, able to relate well and communicate effectively with patients, caregivers and colleagues. We are seeking a podiatrist with at least 2 years of clinical experience with skills and knowledge specific to diabetes and vascular disease, however, we will consider a podiatrist with less experience who has interest in developing skills in this area. Experiences in working within a multidisciplinary focus and with an equity approach will be highly regarded.
