Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Northland DHB is looking for exceptional Social Workers to join Ward 1 and Surgical Services.
We currently have a 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week position available for an experienced Social Worker to work in the Community Rehabilitation & Assessment Team. This is working closely within a multidisciplinary team with patient's post recent neurological events and or significant medical events i.e. stroke, amputation (non ACC).
Successful applicant will have recognised social work qualifications and be registered with the Social Work Registration Board. Previous social work experience in a Multi-disciplinary team environment is highly desirable.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and work with policies and processes within a fast-paced, high turnover Ward environment where timely deadlines of assessment and discharge planning are critical to achieve successful outcomes for clients and whanau.
Regular supervision and ongoing professional development is supported by the social work leadership team in accordance with the expectations of the Social Work Registration Board.
You will be part of a supportive and friendly team of social workers within the Rural, Family and Community Services directorate, all working towards patient focus care.
