Kaiwhakahaere Raukaha - Workforce Capacity and Capability Senior Manager (1.0FTE) at Northland District Health Board (Whangarei), Northland

Right now, Te Poutokomanawa (Māori Health Directorate) are seeking an experienced strategic leader with a passion for establishing relationships and building capability to join them in growing, recruiting, and developing our kaimahi Māori workforce.

Reporting to the Tumuaki Hauora Māori (General Manager, Te Poutokomanawa), you will have oversight across Māori workforce development, championing the provision of affirmative action within Northland DHB's workforce strategy and interact strategically across sector and other government agencies to build capacity and capability of the Māori workforce.

Your work will be varied, including developing a workforce capacity and capability plan, analysing performance, reviewing and further developing our existing Affirmative Action Plan, implementing the Northland DHB Workforce Strategy (2019 – 2029) objectives, designing and leading Māori workforce capability building initiatives, consulting and contributing in a multitude of projects, initiates, and with stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will be 100% committed to eliminating inequities and achieving the best outcomes for Māori, have a strong background and understanding of the challenges facing our kaimahi Māori workforce within the health sector, and hold a Masters level tertiary qualification in a relevant field i.e. Clinical, Public Health, Business Management, etc.
