If you are interested in progressing your career, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Occupational Therapist to join our supportive Mental Health and Addiction acute in-patient services. Utilising your experience and skills you will have an opportunity to work within a varied and complex caseload as an individual and in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team. The role also contributes to excellence in patient care through the provision of clinical leadership to other therapists working within the unit.
Tumanako is a 29 bed purpose built unit at Whangarei Hospital that cares for adults over the age of 18 who live in the Northland area. He Manu Pae is a 6 bed sub-acute unit based in a community setting. At both units we provide a full range of mental health and alcohol and drug services including assessment, group therapy, family/whānau and individual interventions.
To be successful you will need to hold a New Zealand drivers licence and a current practicing certificate, and have at least five years' experience working in the mental health and addiction sector as an occupational therapist. If you are a dynamic, motivated and self-directed therapist with the ability to work within an MDT model, then this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
