We have an opportunity for two highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work in our Whangarei based Mental Health and Addictions Service as Community Support Workers. These are full time positions working 40 hours per week (Mon – Fri 8:00 to 4:30) and are fixed term until June 2023.

About the Role
In this role you will work as part of the Intensive Community Treatment Team (ICT) providing care and support to clients with complex needs who require a higher level of support in the community.
You will be involved in supporting clients and their whānau to achieve their goals while working with the team to support client's health and wellbeing in order to reduce crises and inpatient admissions. We see and support people in a variety of locations including their home, health clinics or another place they feel safe.
Previous experience supporting people with mental health challenges is preferred but not essential. We encourage those without prior experience or qualifications to apply, you can undertake qualifications as part of your role, enabling a more generous payrate.
- Have/Working towards a National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent
- Have the ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective.
- Be professional and have good boundaries and ethics.
- Have experience working in the area of mental health
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Valid/Current work visa, residency, or citizenship
- Have a passion for walking along side those in need, supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery
