About the role

Right now, we are looking for an exceptional registered health clinician to join a dynamic and friendly service in a permanent 1.0 FTE position working 40 hours per week based in Whangarei.

 

Manaaki Kakano supports women and their partners whose mental health has been impacted by the experience of being pregnant, birthing and/or being a parent. Through provision of high quality case consultation, co-ordination and case management services to clients who are pregnant, or parents of children under 12 months of age, Manaaki Kākano supports parents and babies to have the best opportunity to build a secure attachment and remain well in their own community.

 

This role offers opportunities which include case management, assessment, monitoring, varied group work and liaison across the health sector. Applicants need to possess a willingness to professionally develop and be a positive team member.

 

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified health professional with a recognised health qualification and registration with professional organisation, such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work Annual Practising Certificate
  • Experienced with working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to display a working knowledge and have at least two year's experience of professional practice in the area of Mental Health/Psychiatry
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication skills
  • Committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
