The Mental Health and Addiction Services at Northland DHB are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in our Maternal Mental Health (MMH) team. This is a permanent, part-time position (0.4 FTE).
As the Consultant Psychiatrist in this area you will provide psychiatric assessment and management of clients under the care of Maternal Mental Health (MMH) team. you will contribut to a multi-disciplinary team and offer expert psychiatric opinion and advice to other clinicians across the DHB. In addition you will provide any other activities required to fulfil the role of responsible clinician for patients subject to the Mental Health Act.

To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in either a vocational or locum tenens - special purpose Psychiatry scope of practice. FRANZCP and / or post graduate qualifications, however happy to hear from those near completion of their studies. If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration. Northland District Health Board is also an Approved Accredited Employer by New Zealand Immigration.
