We are seeking a Rural Health Medical Specialist or Medical Officer to join the team at Bay of Islands Hospital. This is a permanent rolebased in the Mid-North region of Northland - New Zealand.

We are looking for a dynamic team player to provide medical care to acutely ill patients in the A&M department as well as the General Ward. Our team is close-knit and our rural specialists are role models and mentors; everyone becomes mates very quickly to work as one. Our ethos is that no matter your role, you are a valuable contributor to improving the health outcomes of the mid-north population.
The Bay of Islands is one of the premier places to live in New Zealand and is ideally situated for those who like to work, rest and play – beautiful beaches and stunning scenery with great communities based in the Mid North area of Northland.
To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in a Rural Hospital Medicine scope of practice. If you are a Medical Officer with a clear path towards vocational registration in rural hospital medicine, we would love to hear from you.
