We are seeking applications from Anaesthetist's interested in joining the small team at Kaitaia Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy based in the country's northernmost hospital in the Far North region of New Zealand.
Kaitaia Hospital is a general regional hospital serving a widely scattered population of approximately 24,000. The 28-bed hospital has a general; paediatric and maternity ward and is largely supported by Whangārei Hospital in providing secondary care services.
We are looking for a motivated consultant to provide effective and high-quality anaesthetic services to Kaitaia and wider community. Ideally you will be able to work both independently being a small service as well as in a team as their will be opportunities to teach and train resident medical staff and students. There are also occasional on-call services where surgical cases require.
