We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for Oncology and Haematology nursing.
We are a friendly, small but rapidly growing day stay unit. Our new purpose built clinic and treatment centre is located on Whangarei Hospital campus.
Operating Monday to Friday we deliver chemotherapy and treatments for patients from the Northland DHB. We have full time Medical Oncologists supported by Auckland based locums Oncologists. We have now our own Haematologist and Auckland provides visiting specialists for Radiation Oncology.
The position includes inserting IV lines, accessing portacaths, delivering cytotoxic medication and running clinics.
Full orientation and training will be provided. Cytotoxic competency is desirable but not essential, as this can be done online with support and guidance from our unit Facilitators.
The successful applicants will be an enthusiastic team player, flexible and have at least two years post grad nursing experience.
