Right now we are looking for enthusiastic and committed Senior Registered Nurses to join the Integrated Operations Centre, working to ensure efficient and effective coordination of patient care across Whangarei Hospital after hours. You will work to create an environment where staff feel they are supported with manageable workloads and can be with the right patient at the right time to enable good clinical decision making and high quality patient care.
Clinical practice is central to the role and presence in the clinical areas provides the opportunity to exercise nursing judgement, apply advanced assessment skills and work collaboratively to provide optimum patient care.
The CNC: Safer after Hours is a role model, mentor, advocate and resource of systems knowledge.

There are part time positions available rostered across 7 days a week.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate knowledge of leadership and management skills whilst also being a professional role model upholding Northland DHB Values.
- Minimum of 5 years recent acute hospital experience in New Zealand
- Well-developed communication skills with proven experience maintaining supportive working relationships
- Confidence with computer based systems
- Positive, adaptable, flexible and motivated
You will be supported by the Integrated Operations Centre Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager and Duty Nurse Manager team.
