We currently have an opportunity for a skilled senior Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge. This is a part time, 24 hours per week permanent position based at Whangarei Hospital.

The Duty Manager team are a small yet dynamic group of Senior Nurses who are responsible for ensuring the safe, appropriate and efficient management of staff and resources across Northland DHB hospital sites. You will have an opportunity to hone your decision making skills and to develop a greater understanding of how the hospital operates.   The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player, who has a flexible ‘can do' attitude.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate and at least 5 years post registration experience
• Post graduate nursing qualification or working towards
• Previous experience in a leadership role
• Ability to plan, organise and direct the activities of others
