Right now, we are looking for an exceptional senior registered nurse to join our Renal team on a permanent part time 0.5 FTE position working 20 hours per week, working rostered shifts between 6.30am to 3.00pm on weekdays. No weekends, or public holiday work required!
The purpose of this position is to provide clinical expertise and leadership within the Renal Service, to ensure timely planning of all vascular and peritoneal access as well as assessment and interventional radiological procedures for patients to improve patient outcomes. You will also work closely with the Dialysis Access Nurse Specialist – Auckland City Hospital to manage tertiary patient procedural care and intervention.
In this role you will utilise your specialist nursing knowledge and skills to provide expert clinical advice, information and education to patients, families/whanau and staff. You will also lead quality improvement initiatives within the ward/unit/department.
Key requirements to be successful:
- Registered Nurse/Registered Comprehensive Nurse with current practicing certificate
- Relevant PG Diploma in specialty area or is willing to commit to further post graduate study towards achieving a PG Diploma.
- Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples)
- A minimum of 7 years post graduate experience, 3 of which are in Renal Nursing with Haemodialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis experience
