Community Mental Health Nurse - Tu Kaha Sub Acute unit, Mid North Mental Health and Addictions Services (0.4 FTE, permanent) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Tai Tokerau, Northland

About the Role

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in our Mental Health and Addictions Service as a Community Mental Health Nurse. This position is 16 hours per week and is based at the Tu Kaha Sub Acute unit in Kaikohe.

 

Our subacute service provides transitional treatment and rehabilitation and promotes independence and quality of life for people with a mental illness at a crucial point of recovery or relapse. You will be involved in supporting clients and their whānau to achieve their goals.  This service also provides the crisis response for mental health, dual diagnosis and clinical rehabilitation.

 

Working with a passionate, multi-disciplinary team who place great value on putting people first, you will have the standard of clinical practice and expertise necessary to effectively provide for tāngata whaiora and whānau needs within the service here in Northland.

Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

 

About You

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong desire and ability to work as part of a positive and productive multidisciplinary team, be highly motivated and have excellent communication and computer skills. You will also hold a full drivers licence, a current annual practising certificate, and have the ability to be available for an on-call roster.
