About the role

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Special Baby Care Unit (SCBU) and our Paediatric Unit.

 

The primary function of this role is to provide nursing care with a family centered approach that is safe, of the highest quality possible and in accordance with nursing council competencies.

 

We have multiple permanent full-time opportunities on our department. Applications are also welcome from candidates who prefer to work part time.

 

Key Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities
  • One year post graduate experience in hospital setting

 

Neonatal / Paediatric experience would be a bonus, as would experience in ICU, however if you enjoy a challenge, then you may be the candidate we are looking for.

 

Upon joining our team, you will be fully orientated and continually supported by our Nurse Educator and Associate Clinical Nurse Manager to grow your clinical skills in this rewarding environment, with opportunities made available to receive additional training.
