About the role

 

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for a motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist for Gynaecology in the Surgical Outpatients at the Whangarei Hospital.

This position is an advanced nursing practice role which will be responsible in providing specialist care and/or coordination of care to a specific population of patients and their whanau across the services. Based in the Services, this role will be part of a multi disciplinary team to deliver care across a variety of settings, case coordinating to enhance an integrated patient journey including pre-hospital, emergency, acute and planned care.  This role also encompasses leading the team of nurses.

This is a permanent, full time role working 40 hours per week. Hours of work are worked as part of a roster, between Monday and Fridays.

 

Key Requirements  

 

  • NZ Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
  • Post Graduate tertiary qualification in specialty nursing practice
  • Designated Expert PDRP
  • Working towards completion of master's degree in nursing or a health related area
  • A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori

 

The successful candidate will have a personal commitment to ongoing learning and development, strive to achieve and go above and beyond, self-management and demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
