About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health Nursing to join our Kaipara Mental Health and Addictions Services Team based in Dargaville. This is a permanent, part time position working 32 hours per week between 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, no shift or rostered work.
The community mental health service provides community based assessment and treatment services to patients, including those presenting with alcohol and drug issues. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team placing care on putting people first, utilising your professional ability to provide a holistic approach to mental health and addiction, to effectively provide for a rural area that has diverse requirements within the service here in Northland.
- Qualified comprehensive registered nurse with current practicing certificate
- Current full drivers licence
- Experience in acute and community mental health nursing
- Ability to work toward becoming a Duly Authorised Officer
Desirable (not Essential)
- Experience working with concepts and utilisation of talking therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectic Therapy or Narrative Therapy
- Coaching and clinical supervision experience
- Post Graduate qualification in mental health
